Introduction
We at Royal Bhaktapur strive to support small local entrepreneurs in Nepal by paying them a Fair-Trade price and help them out clearing out their remaining stocks. In order to continue our mission we are not able to provide deep discounts on our products like usual wholesalers do. All Pashminas are handmade by local weavers who spend considerable time and dedication into making these products. We do supply our shawls to various retailers and fashion agencies on special request. But we do keep in mind that every Pashmina is handmade and therefore each of them are unique.Frequently we receive requests from small shops and starting entrepreneurs who like to buy Pashmina shawls from us for a retail price. We do like to sell our products to everybody. However, we are working with small local entrepreneurs in Nepal who make custom made products of high quality.
Excellent handmade quality
Our products are hand made, without the involvement of child labor. We would like to keep it that way. Every shawl is manually checked, adjusted and dyed in the right colour. Furthermore our shawls are produced with a product certificate, guaranteeing quality and genuine materials such as pure cashmere wool, natural silk and eco-friendly bamboo.We do not enforce bargain prices when buying larger quantities from our producers. As it are handmade products, we want our producers to have a reasonable and fair price for their products, the Fair Trade principle. In return we get the best quality instead of a low price.
Therefor the only way to reduce our costs is to optimize our transport and import process and accept a lower margin. You as our customer and our suppliers profit from our Fair Trade policy.
Order size and timing
For production, as long as you order from our standard colour chart and available standard sizes and patterns, there is no minimum order quantity. This could be as low as 1 to a few pieces. Discounts are available, please refer to the price list below. For custom sizes anywhere between 12 and 80 inches minimum quantities are 10 - 25 pcs, depending on the complexity of the custom order.We can produce any quantity desired in any available colour from our colour chart. Please keep in mind that all Pashminas are hand made and therefor, a higher quantity desired will increase production time. We do keep a limited amount of uncoloured shawls in stock in Nepal in order to supply for quick demand. These shawls can be quickly coloured according to the colour chart and shipped out shortly. We have shipments scheduled every month or two to different locations as well. Many times we are able to reduce shipping costs for our customers by including these custom orders within our current shipment schedules.
All shawls are either shipped out to our USA or Europe location first for a final quality check and then delivered to our customers. This enables us to maintain our quality standards and prevent our customers from paying the high import duties that are associated with larger international shipments.

You can also place your order online for the desired colours and quantity.
